Uses in the kitchen

It is one of the most consumed seaweeds in the world. Traditionally it is used to flavor the water used as a base in the preparation of dishes such as soups, rice stocks, cooking of vegetables, meat and fish stews, cooking of seafood, preparation of sauces, etc. It is recommended to use 1-2 g of dehydrated kombu seaweed per liter of water for the preparation of the broth.
