High fiber content and source of protein. Its iodine content stands out. Fat-free and sugar-free.

HABITAT IN GALICIA

Not very abundant, it is found between 5 and 10 meters below the surface on coasts not very open to the waves, attached to the rocks. Exceptionally and in very clear waters, it is possible to find it at 20 meters.

IN THE KITCHEN

Popular in soups, stews, scrambled eggs, croquettes, salads, rice, pasta, fish or meat side dishes, sandwiches and in the preparation of bread and pies.

It can be used to prepare juices and dips.

In powdered form, it is a great seasoning.
